Camp Shonga

Camp Shonga is a small intimate bush retreat built in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains, offering views over the African bushveld. The central facility consists of a charming lounge area including a library and both indoor and outdoor dining area. Shonga allows you to experience the real Africa - majestic, unfiltered and unadorned. The ethos behind Camp Shonga is for the highly trained and experienced guides to share their vast knowledge with our guests. The emphasis of the camp is on nature without losing the luxury and superior service our guests are accustomed to. We are striving to create the optimum balance between people and their environment, whilst having a minimal impact on the surrounding habitat. View the big game from open vehicles from the comfort of your room as you experience an Africa few have been privileged to see. Afterwards, dine on traditional cuisine around a roaring boma fire under the stars of the African sky.
